Assalamu alaikum brothers,
Hope you are all doing well.
We have been discussing for some years to do a annual continuous charity initiative for the benefit of our brothers in this group, past, present and those who are no longer with us as they have returned to our Maker (swt).
This is an invitation for you to join by way of dua and Financial contribution, if you want, anything (on a voluntary and secret/confidential basis, no pressure at all).

Following the previous message on 13th August 2023, when it was announced here that a group of Ex-SJCS were discussing the idea of implementing an annual charity project for our brothers here and especially for those who are not well, and for those who sadly passed away.
Around 15 brothers have raised funds of just under £1600 from themselves.
A Steering Group was formed at the meeting on 13th August 2023, they are now recommending the following Legacy Projects with tge funds that were raised.
- 1 Water well in an African Country (e.g. Senegal), this will take 6-12 month for delivery because of surveys, tests, regulations, government permissions.
- 50 olive trees. Plantation in Palestine, providing livelihood
- 1 tube well in BD,
- 1 orphan sponsor for a year,
If further funding is raised we will consider additional self employment and livelihood project along with the provision of better sanitary facilities and safe and convenient water supply access, inshAllah.
The SJCS Legacy group is open for anyone to join, that group is for charitable project delivery mainly.
Please express your interest to join and help with the work of that group.
More updates to follow at annual reunion event in the future inshAllah as we get information on delivery.
Jazakamullahu khayr.

GOOD DEEDS WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The dead person is followed by three: His family, his wealth and his deeds. Then two of them return: His family and his wealth, and there remain only his deeds."
Sahih/Authentic. - [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Explanation
When someone dies, his funeral attenders follow him - his family follows him to his grave, and his wealth follow him - his slaves and servants that he owns; and his deeds follow him. Then two return; his family and property, whereas his deeds remain with him. If they are good deeds, then he will find goodness; if they are evil deeds, then he will find evil.
